Why can't I beat this lousy site?

some smart old chinese guy once told me "patience is a virtue", then I got pissed off and cursed him out because I lack alot of patience.

Just because you have quickly built alot of links Doesnt mean Google will quickly trust your site. I beleive the age of the domain makes a hell of a difference. I geuss Google likes the more experienced/aged domain rather than the amateur domain that is trying to rapidly rise in the search engines.

Im not an expert but I say give it about another year and google will have no reason not to rank you higher than that other domain. If not, then someone who hates you has a connection with someone on the "inside".

 

You are right, if the 28k links were decent he would have ~PR5.

 

You are saying that you have a variation of keywords. maybe this is the reason why you couldn't beat that site. You aren't focusing on one keyword.
