Well for starters they only accept Quality sites, have to be put in the right sub:sub:category, then there comes the issue of whether that section of DMOZ currently has a volunteer editor and whether or not he/she is even accepting submissions or not. It is really hard to get into these days, just suggest your site and move on.

What error are you getting after you tried to add it?

From the way I read it, he isn't receiving any notification so he thinks that it isn't being submitted.

I guessed that, but the way they asked about them adding a site - no one but and editor can add a site. All the public can do is make a suggestion that the editor may or may not look at and may or may not use.

Suggesting a site more than once is against the guidelines agreed to when you submit, so it always puzzles me how those who deliberately break the guidelines they agree to when they submit expect to be listed???

How do you think any directory (not just DMOZ) should treat those sites that deliberately break the guidelines that acknowledge they have read when they submit???

Of course it is! Only editors can list sites!

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Agree Some Time Becomes Headache But Worth; I was also in impression that DMOZ is Not Accepting New Sites But If You Follow Proper Direction it works :)

Where did you get that impression from? DMOZ listed >6000 sites in Feb and 9000 in Jan. How is that not accepting new sites? Most web directories do not even have that many sites listed in total, let alone increase by that much in a month.
