why cant i add my signature after 8 days?

hi, i have been a member od DP for eight days and i have a post count of about 20, i received an infraction for one of my posts, i still dont seem to be able to add a signature, basically i just want to know is an infraction the same as negative rep? will i have to wait for my infraction to expire before i can add sig?

if you have completed 20 posts just now, wait for 1-2 hours.

 

thanks for the reply meethere, but according to the sig rules in the userCP, it says you need only 10 posts to be able to have sig enabled which i had days ago, i just thought the infraction i have might be preventing me from adding sig?

 

No its not..
Just wait for 1-2 hours.. you must have completed 7 days/10 posts before, but logged in for the first time after 10posts/7days. - Am I right ?

 

it seems you are , im just on my way out to breakfast now so ill check back after that and see if it lets me add sig,

On a side note, keep in mind that signatures and several other DP features are updated via cronjobs and sometimes may require more than a few hours.

 

ok just back from breakfast and was able to write my signature
