Here's the thing i dont understand about adwords and the content network.

I've slowly been filtering through my campaigns and taking out sites i dont want my ads to appear on, the placement report is handy for this HOWEVER... sometimes when i copy and paste the URL's into editor as a negative site it wont accept it. Is this becuase G doesnt give us the complete/correct URL or some other reason? Maybe its the wrong format i dunno.. its just annoying...

    Isn't accepted!?

    Any ideas?

Thanks guys, i would do this but the problem is some pages on the site perform well and have a good CTR and others dont, using the shorter format would take those out too. I'll play around with it and see what i can see.

In the campaign summary page for a particular campaign, look for "site and category exclusions" near the top of the page, underneath the tabs.

Just tidied up all my content targetted campaigns, taking out the zero CTR sites. Hopefully that will improve overall CTR rate now. I only use CPC not CTM on these. So I guess it might help reduce CPC as on search targetted campaigns?

Running the reports and adding the sites to exclude was really easy.

So is there any way of doing the same process, but to ADD sites. ie for campaigns on the content network where I have selected the option "Relevant pages only on the placements I target".

At the moment I am doijg this Adgroup by Adgroup on Adwords Editor. Takes a long time as I have 80+ Adgroups in each campaign.
