Google Adsense banned one of my domain because of embedding a live feed of a certain sports on my website that came from Justin TV and Ustream what funny is Google Adsense is also serving ads on Justin TV and Ustream and they can't ban them I mean is like wtf? Why not ban the source of all the live feeds who are illegally streaming/hosting thousands of illegal videos instead they are banning those who are embedding it. Good thing is they didn't ban my Adsense Account. Any explanation on this?
Hello, Google has been notified, according to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), that some of your webpages allegedly infringe upon the copyrights of others. The notice that we received is attached to this e-mail. Please note that we have disabled ad-serving to the URLs of the allegedly infringing webpages, which may be found at the end of this message. Google can restore ad-serving to the affected URLs upon receipt of a proper counter notification pursuant to sections 512(g)(2) and 3) of the DMCA. Regards, The Google AdSense Team Like what I said they didn't ban my account just one of my domain only. My point here is why not send this kind of punishment to Justin TV or Ustream which are the mother of all live feeds circulating in the world wide web. where they can easily ban those who're embedding the videos from these two websites.
Can you attach the DMCA Notification that Google attached? That would help shed some light on this subject.
It's obvious that if you're streaming or embedding a copyrighted material that you have no license to publish, you'll get banned or disabled. e.g. tv shows, movies, etc.. justin.tv is a video streaming "service" provider thus the users are solely responsible for whatever contents they're streaming there. If users get caught of illegal streaming, I'm sure they'll get their accounts banned by justin.tv.
It doesn't make sense if that's the case. I also have that on my TOS so what's the difference? I am a justin TV regular visitor becuase I watch there my favorite sports live! And all the channels/host are didn't get ban and keep showing this sports until now.
I asked for the DMCA Notification because then I would be able to see what specifically was filing against him and hopefully help him formulate a response. iRule, the problem here is that, as someone said above, Justin TV provides a service by creating a place where people can upload and store material. Somehow, they're not responsible for what's uploaded. (Never really made sense to me from a legal aspect, but whatever.) Since you're streaming from that site, you're placing the material on your site - which you were never granted permission to use, and therein lies the problem. You can try removing these feeds and look for some other type of media, and that would allow you to get AdSense back. Alternatively, you may try another advertising network. If you need any further assistance I'll do what I can.
