It is good to see Search engine world has some changes. Yet, msn --> live --> bing what will be the next? The question is: what is any reason for msn to do so? Would like to know. Thanks,
Well, just a way to see how things work Microsoft is trying to compete with Big G One SE doesn't work, try another one. Bing.com might be a big success who knows. I know Cuil.com Failed so bad Bing.com is easy to remember and sounds just about right. Cuil.com Sounds a little creepy kill lol
Microsoft probably found lot many flaws in their old search engines and were aware of the bad reputation they were carrying with them. They probably wanted to incorporate all their learning from the past mistakes and try afresh with a new brand name and new marketing strategy! Regards, RightMan
Microsoft wanted to buy livesearch.com They offered the guy like $200,000 I think but he refused. He wanted $800,000, but Microsoft was like you can take all your base. Now all of Bing are belong to them. The name is very corny IMO, but popularized on the show Friends so it's familiar, but at the same time creepy, weird and pathetic and doesn't attract hot women except one that he shoos away because he's jealous of her other male interests. But I digress, I think they will rename it again once they have some more psychologists and etc. tell them what's best.
The kind of people who use Bing are the same kind of people who have to put on a helmet when they leave the house. My opinion is that Bing is just a cheap and quick mock-up of Google.
Currently bing is giving better traffic to my blogs, atleast better than Yahoo. so i think they are changing something in search engine when changing the name.
You are making that up on your own. The stats sites show Bing dead last. Citigroup has informed its customers that Bing's search results are not relevent. The LA Times, yesterday, said Bing has only gained 0.4% over what Live was. Bing is not worth talking about. You'll gain twice as much action from Yahoo. You'll gain more than 8x as many, better results from Google. So why bother with Bing?
Bing is just an another experiment of Microsoft, which I guess will fail ultimately in front of Google Giant.
