Why call it G ?

I've noticed in forums people always talk about "G" "Big G" "G**gle" etc.

Is there some reason for this? Are they a bit paranoid and don't like being talked about or something?

    Thanks

It gets talked about so much that it saves about 10K character a day if we all said G. Saves Shawn some bandwith :)

If we talk about G, Y and M and everybody understands it, all the better IMO.

And if you let php parse a css via .js then G might think you over seo and manipulate the serps whereas y and m don't care. Ibls fit in nicely too.

sure I understand what they mean ok, I just wondered if there was some undelying reason for things like G**gle, as that doesn't save time or space.

Perhaps people are disgruntled at being put in the sandbox. Who really knows.

We're not ALL ignorant boobs over here. I admit that the preponderance of evidence does favor that impression, but really..

    I have a Unix/Linux consultants list at http://aplawrence.com/consultants.html

It's a free listing, and all that I ask is that people not abbreviate their Country etc. so that I can sort these things together.

Almost nobody does - American or otherwise. I used to try to take the time to figure out what they meant, even backtracing their IP for a clue, but I've pretty much given that up - if I can't easily figure it out, the listing goes to the digital trash bucket.
