Why cache:unowned-site.com ?

What are some reasons to search for "cache:domain.com" for a site you don't own or operate ?

I've got a script that's ended up showing me quite a few "cache:..." searches are being done on one of my domains via Google and I can't think of a reason why.

They are probably trying to find some particular keyword on your pages.

is you r server slow, or do you change your pages regularly?

i sometimes hit the cache result if the page has moved or gone, to get the info i want.

It appears to be the cache for just the index/domain-name, there's never any mention of paths in the log.

The index page is one of only a few that aren't served from a static cache. It's never slow when I work on it, but I suppose there's a chance it could be slowing down for others occasionally since most links pointing to the site point to the index.

I don't remember why I didn't setup the index to use the static cache, I think I'll get that setup today and see if it makes a difference.
