Why buy and park domain names?

Well i recently thought i should buy domains and park them and sell them at a later time. I'm new to this since i just thought of the idea a few minutes ago. I just want to know from people who are experienced with this what's the point of buying domains and parking them since i know lots of people do this? Do i make money while my domains are parked, do i make money when i sell it, or will i even be able to sell the domain after one year for a higher price then i bought it for? Please tell me all the ways i could get revenue from domains, and whats the average revenue one domain can give you untill the day you sell it. If you know of a site that teaches this stuff to newb's please link me.

 

if you earn 2cents per day, parking revenue can cover your renewal fee..
but the thing is it's not that easy. it's much profitable to put a keyword rich landing page with adsense on it than simply parking it.

 

well just say i buy a domain and park it for 2 years big deal i loose about 20 bucks but after 2 years could i sell that at just say $50 so i make a $30 profit?

Parking traffic domains, you earn PPC income.

 

Parking some of my names at Sedo and Namedrive give me a little PPC income, but not big bucks.
It's not enough to cover the domain registrations (in most cases) but at least it's something until I get around to doing something with the domains.

 

i earn 6 cent a day on 100+ domain....how sad

I earn 20 bucks a day by parking 25 domains. Though I do not park em with sedo or any other program. I just parked them with a self made 1 page websites with adsense on it. It works

 

becareful, if you doesn't have content on your page, it is against TOS

how about designing a nice simple layout with little content to show the vision and try to sell the domain+layout; works?

domain parking is good if you want to sell it out after few days with high rate.. for that you have patience for right customer or buyer of the domain.. waiting is important aspect in domain parking

 

Well if you make a one page content page yourself of every domain you have with google ads you should be making a lot more than that.
