Why Bounce rate increased?

I was having a bounce rate of 45-50% when I was doing just SEO for one of my client website. But once I started doing paid campaigns the bounce rate increase to 82%. And also the ROI is not even what I spent on that campaign. Please help me in this. What may be the possible reason for this drawback. Client is selling modern dresses for women.

Well, I think you need to more focus on onpage use proper image of your product on lending page add complete information about this product use online form which should be user friendly, page should be nit n clean, may this can be decrease your bounce rate and most important thing is check your traffic source, you are getting targeted traffic? Use proper keywords? If still your bounce rate didn't decrease then create new campaign with new related keywords.

Here you need to understand that which traffic you are getting is fine for your products? Sometime we are using targeted keywords but related with informative user come for just information try to use "buy, online etc" type of words which is help to increase your sell.

 

I'd look at the terms you are targeting or paying for. Might you have started targeting terms that aren't as closely relevant to the terms you were ranking with before? If your website is selling "blue widgets" and you're now ranking for "yellow widgets" along with "blue widgets" then expect your bounce rate to increase because the yellow widget traffic isn't going to be as targeted.

 

One reason maybe the fake referral bots, like 100dollars-seo.com and buttons-for-your-website.com...

 

It is not the main metric you should refer to if you didn't make any global changes in your site content. It is very controversial one.

 

Check with the design and elements of website because most of the site selling modern dress for women will have exceptional web design. When your site is not up to the exception, users will immediately close down your site and go back to the search results. This will have a bigger impact in the bounce rate of your website.

 

There are some paid services that give you automated traffic which is of no use and these kind of services tend to increase the bounce rate as well so you better stay away from such paid services.

 

You need to focus on posting high quality themed content on your site, so that more customers stay & read your content of your website.
