    Hey Everyone!

I'm doing a research paper on blogging, and I was just wondering what everyone likes about blogging? Do you think it is a good form of communication or not?

    Thanks!

It is easy to set. You can make some moeny if you do it right and it is a great way to share information with others. I started blogging as a hobby but now I am trying to make some money doing it. It is much easier to create a blog than a regualr website and you can either do it for free or self host it with a paid hosting account.

A good form of communication with your readers ?

Yes. If you are a company, you can post news about your latest products and other stuff in there. You can also publish quality posts, tutorials, special offers etc. The comments allow you to judge how the consumer feels about the product.

If you can write interesting short posts regularly, it works. Remember it needs to be a dynamic blog, which is why people will return for more info.

Absolutely. A blog can be used for anything where you want to record information by date and time in a chronological order. When I was away at college, I kept a personal blog so that my family and friends could read what I was up to without me having to send 8000 emails to update everyone.

In turn, a blog gives your readers an opportunity to comment. I've gotten loads of great advice that way.

Now I blog mainly for business as a means to network. I enjoy writing about making money online and receiving comments from others who are doing the same. In addition, I also use my blog to write articles for beginning bloggers and to present sites that I use and blogs that I read.

In addition to that, there are blogs for every subject under the sun from hobbies to travel. People are using blogs for EVERYTHING.

The Pew Internet and Amercian Life Project had a report from 2006 on blogging. Check out this link:

Here's the report on blogging: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP%20Bloggers%20Report%20July%2019%202006.pdf

Also, use the search feature there on that site for more resources. Simply type in "blogging".

Hope this helps and best of luck with your paper.

Well, you're able to express your feelings, ideas, opinions, etc freely with a chance of getting your message across to tons and tons of people. A lot of people do it because they like to form that community with other bloggers while others just LOVE to write. Personally, I do a little bit of all the things I have mentioned, plus, making money isn't too bad either.

Yes, it is a good form of communication because like I said, you can get your message/point across to a large audience if you do it right.

well for me blogging is a way of communication because we share what we learn from other new things that we encountered for our everyday of life.

Blogging started as the online equivalent for the good-old diary. Now, blogging becomes one of the most important tool in marketing. For average users, blogs are easy to setup. I personally would recommend getting your own domain and setup your own blog. This way, you will have total control from layout to scripts.

I have a personal blog too and occasionally updating it like once or twice a week. If you have a high PR blog, search engine will index your newly posted content in less than 2 hours. If you don't have, it will take sometimes for them to visit your site.

Blog are to internet as magazines and newspapers are to paper.

After all, a blog is just a site that features chronologically listed postings (which have their own permanent URLs). Virtually any news-oriented site is a blog by default.
