Actually buddy, that's only a simple incident that happened with me. I just want to point that I get some trouble to run this OS than XP. Vista also doesn't support my Broadband modem and asking for Windows Verification. Also I've problem with networking. XP is easy to networking and Internet sharing between PCs. In XP I can easily set my IP according to me, but in Vista I've not found my network Adapter to change my IP. Vista also doesn't support Norton Antivirus 2005. But I have only NA2005 and I don't want to spend anything for NA2008. Vista also not supports my Leap Office and Ramdhenu software. I use this two software to write anything in my local language. Ultimately I've seen that Vista supports only updated and big companies software. I don't know how you look on it, but I've problem with Vista.
Networking with vista is easier and a lot more secure if you know how to do it. You can set ip4 and ip6 ip address, dns etc. What kind of modem is it? As for Norton...I'll just leave that alone. I think Norton hurts pc's as much as it helps them. There are a few free options which are a lot better then Norton. What is leap office and Ramdhenu? I tried to google it but I couldn't find anything on it. First time I've ever heard of either software. It's not Microsoft's job to keep the software updated. Microsoft released a developer program a year before Vista's release and it was up to the companies to update their software. So that means if they still don't support vista then that doesn't sound like that great of a company. They've had 2 years to upgrade and still haven't? I know vista isn't for everyone and I'm sure you have your reasons. I just wanted to let you know that hating vista because of the power button wasn't a good reason.
it sucks and thats why i'm already trying my luck with linux & ubuntu on another pc. its quite a good experience!
This two software that I've mentioned is made by C-DAC. May be for first time for all computer users except Indian. For Norton, I just like it. May be their have lots of Antivirus. Norton is really good, so that Yahoo, the world no.1 site is using it for scan attach files. That's also right buddy, that Norton make some slow PCs if you don't have minimum 256MB RAM. Actually I don't hate Vista. I was already told you that I get problem to run Vista. Menu style and it's Options location, style of All Programs, Networks Connections etc. are the things that have lots of difference from XP. If you're using Vista from one or two years, then it may be easy for you. But for me, it's really consuming lots of times to look something. My first example with Shut Down button is really important thing. It's a major difference between this two OS. If you want, you can take a survey with your 10 friends who are using XP and who didn't use Vista in past. Give them to run your Vista PC and ask to Shut Down the PC and notice where they click. I am 100% sure that out of 10, 6-7 friends will click on the Red Botton.
Vista, vista, vista everyone talks about it Xp for noraml work, but vistais too much difficult and predictable
I am XP lover & Vista Hater. Main reasons are, 1. It uses too much system resources, 2. Most of the softwares are incompatible with Vista 3. Not suitable for games So, XP rulez Thanks to Microsoft, which will continue XP support till 2014!
1. The UI out of the box is substantially different than it's predessor resulting in a productivity loss with no obvious benefits. 2. Reversion to a classic interface for productivity purposes is cumbersom. 3. Critical software, even Microsoft's software, is incompatible and crashs randomly. 4. The "Additional Security Features" are annoying and therefore will quickly become ignored, creating a greater security risk. I mean, geez louise, how many "Are you sure?" boxes do you have to click "Yes" to so you can run a piece of softwre? 5. There are few true innovations, just a repackaging and re-writing (i.e. breaking) of existing functionality. Need I continue...? I've been a PC guy all my life ... I'll now do what it takes to escape from Microsoft's death grip on the desk top. Slowly but surely.
