Yes i have come accross networking problems. Such as file sharing i have seen it lock up in the process of copying files from another computer pretty abysmal!
high hardware requirements , not so pleasing interface and human nature to resist change s preventing me meanwhile i m not gonna leave ubuntu for this crap
The interface as in how the information is organized is a lot easier than XP. And maybe the reason you have never used the family settings is because you don't have kids I have heard a lot of parents who say they would like an OS with more monitering for their kids. Such as cut off times and the likes.
Well that is true enough and I don't expect to have any huge use for it in the near future. Well, I most certainly wouldn't, there is enough third-party monitoring software out there. Integrating it into an OS is just a waste of time, and really isn't that useful because it will always be got around, as with most restrictions.
A lot of people say Vista slows everything down. Well, have you guys tried getting rid of ALL the useless background services that run on startup? There are many of them that you should get rid of. It'll the run much faster, as there won't be as many processes running.
1.you should pay money for it, 2.there are many hardwares devices dont support vista, 3. that's why people dont like it 4.many Virus and trojans all points to windows OS,hate windows IN one word, linux is best choice!
Who wants an operating system that already has useless crap when its brand new... Linux is great, don't get me wrong, but it requires a higher level of knowledge and there is a pretty steep learning curve to go along with it. People use windows because it is user friendly and there is a high amount of things that go hand in hand with it. I'd say Microsoft is about 65% of the computer industry. So vista is likely to own the main part of the field when it comes to hardware in a few years. Where will linux still be? Possible about the same place it is now. Vista sucks, but its creators are assuring that it will, eventually, be usefull and common. Linux (with so many versions and so many open source edits) can not do that.

Integration with an OS is much better. The reason is it is harder to hack a system that is integrated in the OS than it is a program. Why are most parental controls worthless? Because they run like programs and can easily be hacked.
While everything you stated is a valid argument, keep in mind that the process of getting XP out into the world was very similar. Or we could all just screw Windows and switch to Knoppix, SLAX, or Ubuntu.
i'm for Vista you'll all see in a couple of months, after first Service pack for vista will be published, Vista will have more and more users
I have a Vista Home Premium on my laptop and I hate it because of compatibility issues. Also, I think that the security features has gone way too much and it is irritating. No more Windows I guess, Mac OS X Leopard is the best.
Not OPEN-SOURCE SLOW BOOT-UP and WinXp is Just Better in my opinion But overall Ubuntu, PHLAK and BackTrack are my Favorite
I don't hate Vista. Although I voted XP, I have no issues with Vista. I have XP on my desktop and it's great. I have Vista Premium on my new laptop and it's great. No issues either way, although I do prefer XP.
I just got a new laptop today, and so far I actually have no problems with Vista. I originally thought of Vista as crap until I actually got to use it for more than 1 hr. The only thing I hate so far is the permissions check. That's something I can live without.
