I was a windows fan until i discovered Mac OSX, simply amazing, 1000 times better then Windows Xp and Vista. People should try the Mac, the problem is that many are scared of such a huge change, but trust me, you won't regret it.

Driver support is still really patchy - it is getting better, but compared to XP its nowhere :-(

    Truth!

Has less of a footprint for me then XP, you just have to learn what to shut off. I think people have trouble with it because it involves change and people hate that most of the time.

Vista is a far better version of Windows then XP, people are having trouble adopting it just as they did with windows XP.

I will not go back now, the functionality that Vista gives me as an IT manager makes it essential for me to use.

Vista need big juice to run. While XP stick the same way. Vista need drivers for some thumb drive while XP work out for all. I like to play some great games on XP while some great games aren't ready to run on Vista.

    :) Still XP'ing now.

Office 2007 IS JUNK. I have completely deleted all of it.
I can't believe the amount of resources it takes just to run Outlook!

I was very disappointed. If Vista is anything like that...Bill can have it.

The best windows ever was 2000

the more graphics involved in the OS the worse it goes

XP seems the current best as it had 2000 core with some colors

I had no chance to use Vista yet but not for a year untill all the hardware and software are Vista compatible

Probably you will face a lot of incompatibility issues.
My suggestion is to test your softwares on a Vista machine before you upgrade.
