    Now i can't believe I am siding with mac on something but has anyone seen the commercial where its the mac and vista guy talking and the security guy in th back keep saying allow or decline what he says. That about sums up one reason not to get vista...that thing is so annoying

    You must have a powerful computer to run vista...
    Always the same thing from one version to another.
    I will use Xp until vista will be older, I mean with less bugs :)

    Well if it works for you I'm happy. Right now I don't see myself leaving Microsoft for Mac or Linux for that matter. My industry uses many different OS but for me I am alot more marketable when I say I use, fix and work with Windows then if I say Ubantu. People are like what the heck is that?

    It seems Vista is having more trouble. Microsoft just extended XP life by 6 months. I don't think Microsoft counted on the consumer telling them they run the show and not Redmond.

    it is slower than XP in many respects and directX 10 is a complete marketing disaster. There is also no compelling reason for businesses to upgrade to a more complex system that offers no cost benefit, usable features or performance improvements.

    Businesses have been the most surprise for MS. They have been upgrading more then personal users. For the main reason of security. For all of you who says Vista is not secure show me the amount of bugs for it that you have for XP.
