Err.. Hi :p I don't hate it I just got it on my new PC I like the dashboard style desktop.

I agree it looks better, the first week I had it, it took me a while to get used to it. It's also in Spanish but I'm getting there....I always wonder why everyone uses IE and not mozilla but thats another story hehe

Rather suppose to say 4 TB RAM.

Vista is the true 64 bit OS. Don't talk, just use!

Mac is a better operating system but....Vista got all thr CPU from mac basically coded it with windows copyrights.which also leads me to thr security system on windows another wanna b duplication of mac to form a pc with out ne viruses to be taken in to ur pc.Windows Vista is bing crackd by many hackers already soo another failure on windows.I got a suggestion windows MAKE SOMETHING NEW N OF UR OWN.

    Sincerely,
    NUGGZ

I dont understand Why people are saying Vista only Support 4 GB+ RAM
i have 2GB RAM, and Vista only Eating up 30% Memory of it. so lets say Vista having only 400 MB to 500 MB. i still have 1.5 GB remaning...

Even i saw some peopl using Vista with 512 MB, go check yourself if dont believe.

We're going to have to upgrade sooner or later. No questions asked.

    IMPOSSIBLE.

It cannot run faster than XP - it has a FAR greater usage rate.

Its not worth the money. Not only is Vista itself a ripoff, but you have to buy into ATLEAST 4Gigabytes of RAM for it to be any good if you use a computer like I do...

You're quite mistaken. A clean install of Vista IS faster for me than a clean install of XP.

Ok, clean... but tbh after i've been on a 'clean' computer for a week... its gonna be a lot different..

I've tried both, and XP beats Vista after having XP on my pc since it came out, and having Vista on for about a week.. =\

Maybe, it's different for everyone, but I installed Vista Ultimate in November 2006 (when it reached RTM status) and I've been using it daily ever since and it's running just as fast as it was as a clean install.

    I love vista

The interface is beautiful to look at while I copy files that take 10 times longer to move than XP.

    I'm a Microsoft fan..but don't like Vista very much..it's too slow & it doesn't work sometimes.

IE is horrible on Vista..sometimes it screws up my OS.

It's a lot better with Firefox...that's all I use on Vista now.

I'm on a brand new computer with AMD Athlon x2 64 2.8 Ghz & it feels like a 1.6Ghz machine.

Norton sucks though... Im running it now, but only because i managed to pick up a free copy with a new computer...

Get Kaspersky ;) It's amazing. A friend recommended it, and it picked up multiple risky items (and i do know what im talking about with computer threats) completely undetected by Norton.

Make the switch! Kaspersky is only £15...

    To clear some things up:

Only 64bit-processors in combination with 64bit-OS's (like Vista 64-bit) can use more than 3.7 GB of RAM.

So, not every version of Vista can use more than ~4GB or RAM, and there also other OS's wich are available in 64bit-version such as Windows XP and Ubuntu.
