The Key is to ask customers what they want and not what Microsoft wants. Customers already voted that they don't care about eye candy. Listen to your customer Microsoft.
xp is faster and doesnt need much harware resource. If you use xp with a good PC it is much more faster than vista. why do we need to buy it. there is not so much differance. this is a just paint of xp. And they want us to change all hardware to core to quard or duo nothing else. Microsoft need to do much more.
I laughed when I read this. Windows is notorious for creating crappy software, why is vista any different? Give it a while, and the holes will be rampant.
It's bloated and uses massive amounts of system resources. I will never switch to vista. I will use linux or apple before I ever switch to vista. MS really f'd up this time.
Define massive amounts of system resources. I'm a power user and I'm often only using around 500-600mb of memory.
I found Vista to be smooth and very useable on my dual core system though on my older 3.2ghz single core machine it was slow to the point of making me think it had crashed!
I think like windows 98 to XP Consumer want to make sure that the new software is proven reliable and no bug.
well....I'm not against it just not interested , because an OS that's using more resources than another that is doing his job very well ... not my choice
Vista is not the OS i was waiting for... Needs a lot of resources, runs slower and i don't need all these fancy graphics. I am staying with XP.
same old microsoft trick, take somthing that works well (windows 2000) make very few actual improvements, change the way it looks (so people think its different and pay for re-training *cough cough* windows XP), pad it out with a load of useless crap (like services that run in the background and flashy themes that slow your computer down) and market it like its the most important thing in the world that will change your life forever office 2007 is just the same, Ill be sticking to windows XP and officed xp for a long time yet. I also recomend not upgrading to any microsoft software until its at least SP1, SP2 prefereably. you will be in a world of hurt if you rush onto the latest products for teh sake of it (like so many big companies do)
Hi Vista is a new OS and as with most new things in software it takes time to get the bugs sorted, Vista is a bit of a system hog if you Comp has 1 or 2GB Ram, the side bar and widgets are just unneeded, to me Vista is XP with a skin and a expensive one! maybe by the time Vista SP2 is released it may work ?
Meh I love Vista... it kicks XP... It doesnt run slow on my new laptop, laptop has 2gb ram, etc but it works fine... IE7 is great to... I too am confused why everyone hates Vista, it rocks. Josiah
