what stuffs not working with vista? and NO your warranty won't be affected if you change your OS. It only applies to Hardware
Vista or XP Coke or Pepsi whatever you prefer I have Xp on my desktop and Vista on my laptop and it works for me just fine. Yes there are some things I like and dislike about Vista and XP.. Before Vista I went from Windows 95 to XP talk about future shock...
Vista looks like a total rip off of mac to me ( My mom uses vista on her laptop, and she says its so stupid ) Also I think vistas install agreement says you can't un-install windows media player or internet explorer ( DOWN WITH IE )... Anyways XP is much better than vista! Vista does a lot of CPU usage and that causes laptop battery changes Also Vista is like a mac it does something with out asking you! They think were *clears throat* TEH STOUPID!1!!1 >_>. Well really thats all I have to say right now.
Windows XP sux...after service pack 2 it is little bit ok but still has lot of problem. One of the big problem is after using few month it become slow then need format. I always use windows server 2003 enterprize edition which is great and never have any problem.
How can you say that Vista is NOT copied from Mac ? http://youtube.com/watch?v=MDNuq94Zg_8 Yay! VISTA !
I won't even entertain the thought of using Vista until it has been on the marketplace for 3 yrs. before I'll even think of switching. From what I've heard from users that have made the switch & are very sorry they did. Which most of them are switching back to XP or 2000 The main complaint I hear has to be that there are way too many bugs that aren't worked out. Basically a "get it on the market now & patch later as we go" type philosophy! Yes it's supposed to have better secuirty than Xp but at what cost? THey even talk about it in the MAc vs. PC commercials. PC has a body guard that asks if PC allows the action or disallows! That right here would drive me nuts! lol Any other views? Thanks,
ummm.. what applications do not work on vista. I have over 100 different programs installed on vista over the last couple of months. While a small few maybe needed to be tweaked, nearly 98% of programs work. in Vista you can set compatibility to run as xp anyway.. Most people switched back to xp, because their systems are not compatitible enough. Plus they do not have the patience to learn a new system and prefer the familiarity of a system they have been using for years. I have used for months, and have not come across any bugs. Also since switching i have never experienced a blue screen, which i was getting 2-3 a week on XP. The added security, and allow actions dialog, is annoying at first, but becomes second nature after a month's use. Pressing a button to allow an action i do a few times a day and maybe takes 6 seconds is no biggie for me..
It takes so much resources to run. Moreover, i tried to work on it on my friends laptop, and i found its unnecessarily expensive as well as complicated. I am happy with XP.
Eyecandy > Good OS That priority right there makes me hate Vista, besides the fact it was forced out of Microsoft's combined lateral orifice. XP is, by far, the superior OS.
I have Windows Vista since April, but I love it. Never received the "shut down" message, the only program that had to close when i was working with large files was Dreamweaver, the last version created by Macromedia. A few days ago I installed the version created by Adobe and no problems at all.
Very slow, because you have an older system maybe.. when it first came out windows xp probably ran slow on a computer designed for windows 98. Just common sense this no?
I prefer VISTA.. it is latest, exclusive, nice and excellent stuffs. But XP is suitable and best for running all types of applications and other major works.
The debate should not be between Vista and XP it should be of why Microsoft can't make an OS that is lean and mean and not bloated like Vista is. It's an OS not an office suite.
