I just ordered vista home premium today from tiger direct and getting a coupon for ultimate. I'll let you all know how it goes once i install it.
When Vista gets some upgrades, im sure it will be a better OS. It just has too many compatibility issues with different products atm.
rofl Vista isn't bad, it's a good "upgrade". Aero looks nice, my hardware is compatible (and I have a 4 year old dell). So far I enjoy it, I use it more than I use xp now.
if you latest PC eith good ram then vista is really fast and it takes seconds to load. really faster then XP. SP1 coming soon
My seething hatred comes from the 6 hours I spent one day during the beta trying to edit the hosts file in system32\drivers. I also don't want an operating system that asks me if I'm sure I want to do something every time I try to make a change. I'll stick with Linux for work, and XP for gaming.
Because XP is just fine. I'm sure, soon or later, we'll all be forced to upgrade, but for those of us who are comfortable and like XP the way it is (and don't feel like traing 100 people at work how to f****** use the thing), well, I think DaiTengu said it very well: I'm sure Vista PWNS with a nice phat machine...
Windows xp is more secure than windows vista. Windows vista takes more system resources. I am really satisfied with windows xp as I am running it for last 8 months and I've no problem yet. Why should I upgrade to windows vista when all of my work is getting done with windows xp.
