Why Are You All Against Vista

i'm not against vista.. it just annoys me at times
but still in my honest opinion its the best thing from the windows line to date
although i'm waiting to try the surface product they announced

However, if you do think about it, Microsoft have made sure they're going to get their money's worth. Gamers will want to upgrade to Vista to get their hands on DirectX 10, and Microsoft's decision not to release DX10 on XP will ensure a steady supply of dollars coming their way. I bought the top graphics card recently, and whereas it'll work fantastically on XP, for it to truly rock I'd have to fork out for Vista, and as in my post above I'm not prepared to do that. And all I wanted was to play FS-X

Everyone says XP = the best windows OS now but give it a few years and vista will be the best. Just like how 2k or 98 was the best os when xp was originally released.

 

Everyone should go check out the Linux Operating System. If you haven't tried Fedora 7 or Ubuntu 7, you don't know what your missing.

I'm sure I could post more but when XP's first year or so people thought 98 or 2k would live on and no one should use xp ever.

The thing is, 98 was damn solid as a rock, until a problem arose, which was sadly all too often.

Ubuntu would be Ok if it weren't for that ghastly colour scheme. I took Ubuntu down within five minutes of it loading. Go debian.

I would never buy and OS because it looks good. I would buy an OS for what it can do for me. I use Linux because it makes a great file, DNS, E-Mail, Firewall, etc servers. I also use Linux because of less viruses.

 

I mainly use my PC for gaming and browsing for which XP is just fine. Nothing against Vista, I just don't have a good enough reason to upgrade.

 

I am not against Vista. I just love my Win Vista Premium. It's pretty fast for me, works better than XP, Ubuntu & Fedora.

 

If you just want the vista interface without having to fork out for a new OS / PC, why not just download a different desktop shell like crystalxp - it looks fantastic on my machine!!

LOL, I could not have said it better myself. If your planning on buying Vista make sure you get a good loan. It's going to cost you.

Em, there where many more minor reasons that made me to go back to Windows Xp for at least one year..
