Does anyone know why we are in Afghanistan and Iraq? It doesn't add up I mean people say oh "9/11", but that's clearly not the reason. If someone has a good argument to 9/11 please explain it to me. It just doesn't add up.
This is why the UK are in Afghanistan: The Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (TAPI) gas pipeline which runs through much of Afghanistan has been given the go ahead for December this year. The governments of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (TAPI) are putting the final touches to agreements for the construction of the strategically important gas pipeline. The TAPI pipe will transport vast quantities of natural gas from Turkmenistan to India and Pakistan, through Afghanistan — yet the issue remains as to how it will be protected from “insurgent†attacks. The principal concern presently is that of security as the proposed pipeline's route will takes it through both Helmand Province in Afghanistan and Balochistan in Pakistan. Both these regions are considered “unstable†areas “requiring†Western military intervention to combat “terrorism.†Few doubt that the only effective, acceptable and reliable long term security will be that provided by the presence of British and other Allied troops. This in turn suggests British military involvement in that country for the decade-plus economic lifetime of the project. A secondary issue of interest relates to the as yet undisclosed composition of the international consortium of multinationals that will “win†the contracts to build and maintain the pipeline. It is thought likely that US giants such as Haliburton, which has done very nicely out of “reconstructing†Iraq, will be awarded the lion's share of the work. I have no idea why we invaded Iraq, could it be an oil issue?

Have Sex with Daughter (in Australia but not sure about others) Shame on Christians and all other kind of religion who are involved in this shameful acts. I'm not so sure. I just had a couple of Pakistani mobile application development contractors in my office today. Their English was horrible and there were only 6 in the US, with the remainder of their development shop in Pakistan. That said, their blended rates came out to be a fraction of what we pay to an India based shop. It was like 1994 all over again. Glad to see there is always someone willing to help overpaid and lazy workers step up the pace a bit. Perhaps we are in Afghanistan to bring down the costs of IT labor.

OK, the USA hit Afghanistan because the Taliban would not hand over Al Qada. We are still there because we feel we have some obligation to build the country up from the stone age it was and still is in ... well maybe bronze age is more apt. The President we have now is committed to losing at all costs ala Vietnam. We resumed eh 1992 Gulf War with Iraq because Saddam was thought to be a threat. We presented 16 separate reasoning to the UN and the American public. We have just about finished there despite many problems with congress wanting to defund the effort. Iraq is also a great platform in the ME and was important to the COG in the war on terror. Our current President in 2006/2007 wanted us to pull out .. no ifs ans or buts about it. Paraphrasing he said it was a loser and we could not win. Now the big question .... was it worth it. Depends on if you consider any war worth the effort in men and treasure. Was WWI worth it or WWII or the Korean war or ... and you can go on. Hey at least all of Europe doesn't speak German or ruled by a German Chancellor. In life ya rolls the dice and takes your chances; I hopes for sevens and elevens.
Its sad that no one knows the reality of USA invasion over Iraq and Afghanistan. The reason for attacking Afghanistan is to establish a permanent military base in Afghanistan, as it is the most important strategic location in the entire Asia. Afghanistan is at the heart of Asia. It borders with Pakistan, Iran and China. Thus by having a permanent military base in Afghanistan would prevent any unprecedented attack from any of these countries that are capable of threatening Israel. Because when WWIII is waged, these countries can pose a nuclear threat or air strike on Israel. Israel is going to dramatically increase its borders, from eastern Europe to bordering Afghanistan. Thus Afghanistan poses a significant threat as long as Taliban have a strong hold in Afghanistan. The reason for attack on Iraq was to ensure a steady supply of oil during difficult times of war. And also to eliminate any possible resistance from Iraq during WWIII.
Ya instead of giving Israel the Patriot II systems we've opted to go in the Afghanistan and wage war .
