I found a knowledgable crowd that likes to exchange ideas and just kept posting. I was however invited here for months before I even looked at the place. This experience has trancended me from playing forum to an almost respectable gig.
If there's even a remote chance that you could get arrested for even the most minor thing, ever, I wouldn't brag about that!
I was looking for a place that I could exchange ideas with and learn from others. Digital Point was the place to do that at. Lots of good knowledge to learn from.
I thought this was going to be one of those deep, "why are we on this planet" type of question...then it wasn't.
Somehow I think it wouldn't do too well. It would more than likely turn into a bunch of jokes. I started posting at this forum because my services were recommended (gained 2 awesome clients) and I saw a link to the thread in my stats.
Started using keyword tracker and reading new forum topics so I peeped at forum. About same time SEO Chat became so spammy I wanted to gag. It was just a natural migration to better place in cyberspace. Shannon
oh btw, I forgot the "I am a spammer and didn't see any moderators on this forum" option. If it applies, vote "I was looking looking to start trouble somewhere. "
Sometime, a long time ago, I got fed up at another forum when the owner sold it (which is fine) to someone who plasterd ads all over it and my dial up connection went on strike (not so fine). Can't even remember the name of that forum but most of us ended up here. Sarah
I've voted this "I hated the other webmaster forums and decided to try one more before giving up. ". I didn't hate them, just that they burned me out. Or rather the moderators did.
When I first read the subject line I thought this was going to be an existential discussion. I voted "I've had seo related questions." But really what is SEO? And why do any of us really do SEO? That's as close as I could get to tie dye.
I thought it was a good way to meet chicks... hahahaha, j/k. I needed a support forum for the tools, but was too lazy to get around to setting it up. So when SEO Chat (which was my "hangout") got so spammy and slow with ads, I decided to see if I could do something I liked better rather than complain.
Reminds me of a story about a bookstore. But I think I included the second part. I have to watch my caffine I guess.
