I have been noticing alot of good (or at least what I think to be good) 3 and 4 letter .tv domains that have not been registered. Some of them had all other TLD options registered except for the .tv. Is there a reason why this TLD is so unpopular?
many years ago its popularity was caused by the need for a cheap tld and something to rival that of .com. But I don't think it stuck though.
Can't associate .tv with too many activity names or types, and even if you do find a way to use it, people lean towards believing you are in the television businesses which can be confusing.. And it looks so much like .tk Yearly renewals rather expensive.
It is expensive but is a major income generator for Tuvalu. Liverpool have their official site on a tv.
I see. Personally, I think even thought it is expensive when compared to other domains, $50 a YEAR is not a big expense. Anyways, I don't see myself purchasing the domains I saw available so I will mention them as I think they are good and maybe one of you can snatch them up if you're willing to dish out the cash. bst.tv (as in Buy Sell Trade) sell.tv
"Congratulations! This is a premium domain name that is still available. It will be available for purchase in Q1 of 2007. We have taken thousands of premium names off the market for a short time to ensure equal opportunity for everyone interested in registering this premium name. By using a .tv Web address, both companies and individuals can offer online viewers a simple and easily recognizable gateway to finding rich media content."
That sounds more of a plan to sell it at a higher price by auctioning premium names or something like that. More money
I just did a check on www.tv for "sell" and the message has popped up on the next screen together with the notice about the domain availability status..
