Two threads about the Mumbai blasts have been deleted.

May I know the reason why??

I do not know but bet they have been merged. Have read posts by both Tops30 and ex-mod ysf1 in the one I read.

It made me so sad to read of another terrorist problem. Why why why?

No i noticed them to be deleted in the Spy but it is nothing wrong.

As the older thread has the same news :)

Sachin410 gave correct info about the blasts but the same was already there :)

I dont understand what was the need to start this thread in the Underground section?

This is one of the worst terrorist attacks on India.... 6 attacks in the morning and 8 right now.

I sincerely feel that this thread should be moved to General Chat/Politics section or a new one allowed over there.

I don't see any reason why the discussion should be kept hidden in "the underground"

    Ya i agree this.

The best is to place it in Politics and Religion section than the Underground.

I deleted those that were both duplicates of existing threads + didn't contain enough info to warrant a merge (i.e. a link to news source pretty much only).

We don't move stuff out of Underground because the thread starter may have reasons to keep it from being public.

In that case I request that a new thread should be allowed.

It may not be important for you,but sitting here in India I think it is a very serious matter and would like it to be an open thread.

    Thanks

Why do you want non-members being able to read about this on DP? Don't they have other news options? I agree it's a serious matter and by all means, those memberswho feel strongly about it should be able to talk about it here, with their DP friends and associates. But how does this apply to non-DP members? What's the benefit of having two threads about the same topic?

But if you really feel inclined to start another one, be my guest, just try and change the angle then so it's not 100% identical.

I'll leave them but I can't promise the next mod won't get rid of them...
