Why are sites still allowed to buy their way onto the coop network?

To be honest I agree with the OP that links are being sold but agree with nothing else. There are other sites like a well known UK financial group with 6 million backlinks and they mostly come from COOP.

At the end of the day, do you think Mr Forum owner would run this network totally for free? He has programming and bandwidth charges. I am pretty sure a backdoor deal went on with these financial sites because there is simply so much money invloved in these sites they can afford to pay wads and why not?
If it was my network I would certainly sell 25% of the weight. I know a lot of the guys in Poland who do the same thing.

To get 6 million backlinks, they would have to really make a lot of crap to put in. Maybe they do but I have a pretty big hunch they just buy their way in.

If you read the forum, I think you'd realize DP has no need to sell weight. And to suggest it is nonsense. People may sell their weight, that would be hard to know for certain, but I am positive that Shawn is not selling co-op weight.

I doubt he has "programmer charges" since he is the programmer. Secondly, sure he has bandwidth charges, but DP does a lot more than just host this forum. (Which does run ads, which I'm sure generate a decent amount.)

I think you are making assumptions based on bad information.
