Why are people saying you can't have images next to ads. In the tos it clearly says "Images or other media cannot be associated with the Ad Unit" in other words the images can not be associated with the ads but you can have images next to ads. Also i emailed them to check my site and they said it ways OK.
The definition of asscociated is "related to or accompanying; "Christmas and associated festivities" Its a pretty clear word.
Stop trying to find the 5 legs to the cat. Associated means similar, so if your ads are about computers your images can't be about laptops or anything like that. I don't see how you can get confused.
Well, you can never know exactly what your ads are going to be about. My tech blog had ads about travel, donations, army supplies, software, web hosting and numerous other topics. Still, if you can paste here the communication it would be helpful.
Your pictures could be more general like, the sky, city, colors, and other things like that. And i don't think YPN would like me to post the communication here. Its supposed to be private. If you have any concerns with your site just email them.
DUDE, YPN EXPLICITYL SAID NO FUCKING IMAGES NEXT TO ADS. How many threads do we have to have about this?
Read the tos lime head. I already told you i emailed them and they said it was OK. And i know there are other people here that also got a OK when they ask about images. What can't you understand about this "Images or other media cannot be associated with the Ad Unit"
To make this very clear Yahoo had a clarification their blog: DON"T PLACE IMAGES NEXT TO ADS! Can it be any clearer now?
why doesnt everyone just do what they want and let yahoo sort it out. who really cares about anyones opinions and interpretations anyway? make your own judgement, do it your way and good luck to all of us. jmo
Because if everyone is use deceptive practices to get a better CTR, the advertsiers get a lower ROI. When advertisers get a low ROI they spend less or even worse, stop using Yahoo for advertising. This makes every publisher's RPC go down. I don't want my RPC to go down because you are getting invalid clicks.
i dont want my rpc dropping either but these discussions are not going to stop people from trying to "cheat" the system. they will do what they will do. enough arguing over the same threads over and over again. jmo
I agree. Why try to push the envelope? No wonder why there is also so many threads of people who complain that their account have been suspensed!
