Where does google draw the line between a click and an impression? There are people out there with 40 thousand impressions, I would assume that this doesnt mean they clicked 40k times on their own ads.
If you have a rich content quality site and did well in SEO, then it is possible to get 40k impression or even more
Nice, but how is that related to my question. The question was, when does google count a click as a click and not as an impression?
Considering a click is a click and an impression is an impression, what do you mean? Personally I get hundreds of thousands of impressions a month, and hundreds of clicks. They're not the same thing at all.
A click is if someone clicked a link / ad. An impression is if the ad / link was displayed but no one clicked it.
Mmmkay I just read through some of noxrawr's posts .... you don't actually use adsense yet, do you? A lot of these kinds of questions go away once you have been using it for a while and see what is happening in the adsense reports.
Nope I do not yet use adsense but I am trying to get my website approved asap, I just understood "impression" in a different matter, such as a self click. Its clear to me now however
Yeah, even if you have no clicks you can get money just for impressions. Varies dramatically by niche and rank. Cents for some of my sites, dollars for others.
