    When is the next PR update, anyway?

    (I understand that there's more-than-required-frenzy built around PR, but it helps to monetize the blog better as some services like ReviewMe, TextLinkAds pay you high based on PR alone)

    PR does weigh on google results, I have seen time and time again where a PR change has made significant changes to my websites performance. If you have poor content however it will most likely not make much difference.

    i have seen several nice and high traffic blogs and websites having PR1 or PR0 ...:)
    and BS blogs and sites with PR 3-7 :mad:

    Why go PR crazy? For the same reason that you see people display brag about their Alexa numbers when they aren't really that good. It's a way to stack your website up against others and show that it has credibility and value. Whether it does or not is completely debatable - as are most things in life.

    i my self want to get a good page rank because when i get a good page rank, i can offer to some publisher if they want to put their ads on my site , and its a good way of getting money.. thats why im building my PR now :)

    I read somewhere that PR is Google's way of bullying kids in recess. I forgot where I read that though and what they meant by it. haha!

    Anyway, people are crazy about PR because it gives them the illusion that they are loved by Google. XD
