why are my gif's so jagged in dreamweaver?

    I'm trying to make a logo in photoshop. everytime i save my transparent gif and throw it into dreamweaver, i winds up looking like crap...

    any suggestions,

    Don't use transparent backgrounds, just match the color.

    make sure ur saving it as highest number possible.

    you don't get to choose a number when saving as gif, like you do when saving a jpg

    Gifs have horrible transparency problems round the edges of an object.

    Put the background whatever that will be behind the logo on your site underneath the logo layer in ps.

    Then make a slice around your logo appropriately.

    ^thanks for the tip, unfortunately my photoshop skills don't allow for those sort of advanced techniques :)

    Its easy

    Put the background that will be on your site underneath your logo layer, in exact same position as it will appear on your site.

    Select the slice tool and make a box round your logo then file=>save for web and other devices, choose your format and save, make sure to select images only and selected slices at the end :)
