Why are my backlinks decreasing?

Hi. I'm using dnscoop to check my backlinks. I had 30,000 2 months ago. Then a month ago it shrank to 23000 and today its at about 10000. Last week was 11000.

Why are my backlinks shrinking? I did not use any SEO service or any tactics at all. I simply write and people link to my stuff.

DN Scoop is a very unreliable place to check your links.

I wouldn't place much credibility in their numbers, nor would I place much stock in their "Site Value" tool.

I think it may be because you used a software to get backlinks very fast. otherwise i do not see any reason for backlinks to decrease that fast. Another reason may be some backlinks are not permanent, but this reason is unlikely.

backlinkwatch.com is really good tool. And don't bother about the backlinks. If your pagerank is same even if your backlinks dicreased, then no need to worry about that.

Try to get manually links... that would be not removed... and google can count them many times....

    Thanks!

If you did lose that much...maybe you linked from a whole bunch of temp sites and they were taken offline for some reason. But my gut feeling is that the tool you are using isn't that reliable. Just my two cents.

don't just rely on one tool...better check another tools so you can compare if the data they've shown is relevant and accurate... :)

are you using spamming techniques to get these links or placing them in places where they can very easily disappear (i.e. top commentator lists etc)?

Eventually It decrease may be they remove old links.. or something like that. I had a blog I faced the similar problem of decrease in back link. I don't why this thing happens. Keep your blog active it will keep growing positively. That blog of mine was in not active for long time.

Same thing happened to me to.. But, sometimes the backlinks just decreasing and then increasing again.. I think it's the tool error or something like that.
