Why are .info Domains so cheap?

    Well big brands like google have taken up almostall the extensions.. They are not leaving any chances for anyone to compete with their brandname.

    I am maintaining a .info blog for 6/7 month now and I haven't have any difficulties when it comes to SEO. I think I am getting visits that I deserve.
    Since its cheap, most people are using it for spamming. I hope that .info domain will get a huge recognition in future.
