.info domains are the cheapest domains now. Go Daddy sells it at less than 2 dollars.

Why have these domains fallen in value ???

What do you mean "now"? .info domains have been cheap for quite some time now. Remember regfly's $.60 deals?

1&1 sell them for $0.99 and both Domainstie and Name.com for $1.99 with no hidden ICANN fees (common GoDaddy's practic)

The fact is that after the poor response received when first released early this century, AFILIAS decided to run a campaign on September 2004 giving away up to 25 INFO domains for FREE and eventually up to 50.

This offer was taken by many spammers who signed under tons of name to receive literally thousand of INFO domains later associated to deceptive practices.

Since then INFO domains have been unable o recover at least their original registration value, though in those early days a two-year registration was required, not longer mandatory.

    there are no seo probs
    just .com are common
info domains are cheap when you register new domains but when you renew them they are at same price to .com

It is all about competition among registrar. If one registrar launches a promotional offer for particular extension then other registrars will also consider to launch such offers.

.info names cost the register less for the first year and this is the reason why they are cheap for the first year.

Since when have they fallen in value?

At 1st they were given away for free.

There were 60c names at Registerfly, 77c names at Tierra.net, now they are more expensive!
