Why are Americans so overweight compared to others?

What are they doing they we aren't?

 

I guess I should go into more detail.
My husband and I went to Hawaii a few days ago. 9 out of 10 Americans we saw were over weight and the Asians were 1 out of 50 had a little extra weight.

The people that needed the scooters, Americans about 300lb

It's not about looks, this is a HUGE problem we have. How can we help to change this?

 

It's from the junk food that they eat
Mc Donald KFC etc etc ..

 

And less activity?

The carbs are killing us...literally!

The people I saw in McDonalds and the Cinnabons places were Americans. The little tiny Asians were eating fish.

 

yeah... Thats the answer.

There are some problems of being a rich and developed country huh ???

 

Heavy reliance on fast food and stored/freeze items coupled with sedimentary lifestyle is the root cause of this problem.

They seriously need to change their eating habits and permanently close down car manufacturers (GOD, they are closing by themselves!) and take to cycling to go to work!

Well, They eat lots of food like that...
But i never want to be fat.. or overweight.

It all has to do with most Americans' lifestyles.

 

Look at the foods we eat, from frozen foods to fast foods to the very drinks we drink are all filled with sugar.
Diet drinks make you want to eat more and are worse for your health than a regular drink.
Just go to a food store and look at what the overweight people put in their buggies.

 

Mainly the CHEAP fast food and the huge portion sizes.. a small soda in the US is the same size as a XL in New Zealand

It's all those delicious fast food and lack of physical activity that's responsible for Americans being overweight.

 

Speaking of Diet Soda, I've heard you can gain weight from drinking too much. I don't drink it anymore. I eat fruits veggies, fish, lean meats, salads and protein shakes and have been healthy for the past 7 years. I eat no bread because I am allergic to gluten plus the white bread is not healthy!

 

i guess fatty, processed foods are the answer...
they do tend to add to the weight a lot y'know...

 

Yeah, i think that mostly its the lifestyle... Lots of junk food, not enough activity, dependence on gadgets...
But come to think of it, its the same everyhere, isnt it??

It is the type of food they eat of course!

The truth about they whole thing is you never get to know that Americans as so over weight, if you have not been there! I don't see over weight girls is all the sexy high school movies and shows. In fact I don't see fat people in most Hollywood movies. I guess the selection process is tough, right?

cheap food, cheap soda/pop, mcdonalds in every town and on every major highway, lack of money to buy expensive and well nurishing food(s). and thats my professional opinion
