Why are all of the views i've set up displaying identical results?

I'm new to Analytics but and have set up views and goals for the parent domain and two additional sub-domains on my website. One being the mobile site, and the second being the account acessed area.

Just checked my Analytics account quickly to see if the figures are pulling in but al domains appear to be the same. Screen Shot 2014-06-10 at 18.31.20.png

Am i supposed to use different code for each view type related domain? Or do I just copy and paste the one set of code and let Google figure out the rest thanks to the information I provided in 'Views' and 'Goals'?!

    Please help :(

If the DESKTOP and MOBILE sites are on the same domain (i.e. my-site.com) then using the same Google Analytics tracking code should suffice. Have you added any specific FILTERS?

The "All Web Site Data" should be just that - all data that Google Analytics is reporting with no filtering involved.

For us, for our DESKTOP site, we filter out all internal traffic. We only want to see statistics from customers and outside people; not people within the company. Plus, we also be sure that view is only reporting traffic to www.my-site.com

For our MOBILE site - which is separate from our desktop site - we also filter out internal traffic but then only INCLUDE those going to m.my-site.com (our designated mobile URL).

Thus, all three views (All Web Site Data, Desktop, and Mobile) report three different sets of figures...

That's great, thank you. I hadn't set up filtering which is what was likely causing the issue - I have read up a lot about these now.

Are you able to just quickly clarify a couple of points for me:

    1. In Filters - I now 'Include' the Hostname (subdomain) within each View type. Do I need to 'Exclude' everything else that's part of the parent domain that isn't this subdomain?
    2. In the individual View settings, do I set the 'Website's URL' as the parent domain, the desired subdomain or does it not matter?

I'm not sure the best way to answer your first question. Maybe I'm not fully understanding it, but perhaps someone else can add their opinions.

As for your second question, in our various VIEWS we've set the "Website's URL" as the desired subdomain. For our mobile site: m.my-site.com. For our blogs: blogs.my-site.com. And my guess is that it does matter
