Why are Adwords 'Opportunities' over 2 weeks old?

Hi all, my first post on here.

My problem stems from Adwords 'Opportunities'. Google decided that i wasnt spending enough money on one of my Adwords campaigns and wanted to near double the amount spent. Having only increased the budget a couple of months earlier i decided to check on what effect the previous budget increase had had.

The total number of visitors to our site had flown up straight after the budget increase but the bounce rate had risen an almost equal amount. I summised that the previous budget increase had not been worth the money spent and so instead of just accepting the recommendations of google i set about optimizing our adwords to get a better 'quality' of site visitor.

It has worked and in the last couple of weeks our bounce rate has fallen dramatically and our total visitors, although having also dropped, has not dropped nearly as much as i was expecting.

However Google Adwords 'Opportunites' still insists I need to increase my budget and looking at the date ranges it's still pointing to a date range which is nearly a month old.

I know i can just dismiss the request but it does make me wonder about the usefulness of Adwords 'opportunities'. Is there a way to manually adjust the timeframe it uses?
