Why are Adsense ads so boring

I was just looking though my site particularly at the adverts and I was wondering that they look so boring. Nearly every one is the same wording they are just selling a different product. I remember a year or two back that they were really interesting to read and I used to click people ads out of interest.

Are people experiencing the same or do I get all the boring ones.

It seems like most ads are just using a script to take whatever search term was used, and slap it into their ad. Veoh.com does it a lot, as does ebay and many others. It's really annoying, plus they all pay 1-2 pennies.

Could be because we've seen them over and over again.

I am starting to see actual ads upon using it on my site for a few hours, I would think the banners pay more?

The ads are not boring. Adsense has the largest network of advertisers. Other ad networks are a lot more boring. :)

Google's ads haven't innovated much over the years because Google hasn't needed to do an overhaul. They have a monopoly. I was hoping YPN would spawn some innovation, but it hasn't and probably won't.

What I really want to see from Adsense is the ability to change the font, including its size. More abilities to change the size of the ads would be great too. For instance I've ran into problems where making the Adsense ads 2 or 3 pixels smaller would make them fit in a specific area, but of course, doing that would violate TOS.

Maybe your content have a few Ads so that the Ads will show the smae and the same.

Furthermore the Ads that you 've seen may not the same as other people seen

Maybe they seems booring, because you became a webmaster (or whatever) and you know now every kind of ads and it's really difficult to surprise person like you. Read ads less. ;)
