why are 4 letter domain names so hard to come by?

    Is a hard question.. depends might go for 20$ and might go for 100$ if the domain is pronunceable and have premium letters.

    it depends entirely on the name, starting from $15 and increasing as the quality of the name increases.

    They are NEARLY all taken. Hard to gain value if you have non-premium letters or not pronounceable.
