It affected by many reasons. Wrong Placed Ads, Wrong chosen Blog / Site example if your blog about SEO things then your visitor is knowing this is adsense so they might not click on ads. What you can do it improve your ranking have some good visitor and try to reduce your bounce rate.

Only problem with going with a cpm network is I have no clue who to go with or what is the best and what I should stay away from. Adsense is all I have used for several years, so I haven't got the slightest clue

I would stop showing adsense to non-search engine traffic. Google will show higher paying ads on your site if it things people are more likely to click through and buy something. Stop showing ads to people who are probably ignoring them and you may be able to increase your eCPM from Adsense.

I have applied with TribalFusion and ValueClick as I have read they are high paying for CPM if your site qualifies, so just waiting to hear from them

rldowling03 for sure your problem has to do with your CTR since you get 150 clicks for 150000 ad impressions, which is 0.1% CTR. Personally I wouldn't stop optimizing until I reach a CTR of 5%, so that's 50 times more than your current CTR!

I don't see why your site would be different than all my sites which I have optimized their ad placement.

I am no adsense guru, I just place the ads and forget about them. I have never done any sort of optimizing at all on any sites I have ever had

You can open a new thread on dp asking for a review on ad placement of your site. Then you can get advice to improve your CTR.
Honestly starting at 0.1% you have nothing to lose!

You have said your own reason. The image and video sharing is very low in eCPM.
Adsense will show random ads in image sharing website.
You can choose blogs with good content and well paying keyword if You want more earning.
