why am I getting adult traffic?

    Okay.... I was checking my stats today... only to find that three of my top referrers are adult sites.

    1) Why are they linking to me?
    2) How can I make them stop?
    3) Will this hurt my site at all?

    could be referrer spam, have you looked for your links on the sites?

    i guess the ad campaign you are associated with have adult content websites and that may be the reason.

    The site is related to writing. It's a forum.

    Nope, not image hosting.

    Looked but couldn't find any links to my site.

    Not currently using/paying for any ad campaigns.

    It's the writing forum link in my sig.

    As mentioned previously it's referrer spam, it won't hurt you in any way so it's not competitors doing it to you.

    There isn't anything you can do about it.
