Surely you jest. They may update the directory search DB, but I don't see any evidence that the actual directory has been updated for over a year now - around Feb. 2006.
ahh, the joys of reading the unknowledgeable web directory owner who doesn't really know what a spammy post looks like. no worries grasshoppa... maybe in time.
There is alot of questions arising on Alive Directory regarding its pr drop from pr7 to pt6. So this means alive is already poluler among peoples and this is big +++++
It has a lot of backlinks but the question is how many new readers and returning visitors does it get a day? Think that was the difference between matt cutts/blog and alive
I think its useless to discus alive directory is PR 6 or 7. What I believe is he is a directory I must submit to.
Toolbar PR is relative and not an absolute number. If (actual) PR of the top PR sites go up substantially, toolbar PR of low (actual) PR sites would go down.
I got in long time ago, when listings were permanent I can smell PR8 coming soon. But I do not know if that is good or bad. Remember what happened with bluefind.com. I had $200 worth of listings in that dir
Looks like nobody has the answer, except Google. A lot of sites were demoted in the last PR update. I doubt it means they did anything wrong. It may mean that Google is assigning a lower value to the types of PR being done by Alive, which is heavily promoted.
Google simply devalued PR ... MSN and DMOZ both dropped to PR8. To me it looks like Google may have devalued OLD links. Some of my oldest sites took a hit this time, while newer sites stayed the same or improved.
