I have been waiting for 3 days for alexa to update my raking .. Yesterday it did update my last 3 months rank but not my daily rank .. Last update for my daily rank is feb.15 And for all sites the same .. So why is this happening ? And when will they update ?
It takes a while for Alexa to update. Be patient, Alexa usually crawls your site when there are many visitors using the Alexa toolbar.
True. Don't solely count on Alexa, they barely send you any traffic. Your best bet is Google and Yahoo as well as word of mouth and forums. And like Natalie said, it takes a while for them to update.
Hi ... exactly same experience, with Alexa. Read, on another forum, Alexa was going through a lot of changes, trying to improve the quality of its product. Supposedly, almost read to go, full speed. Agree, with advice about Alexa and its lack of worth. This only holds for web-knowledgeable people, and same goes for PR. For the general surfer, Alexa and PR are about all they have to evaluate your site, your pitch and make a decision to buy. No PR or no Alexa, and we'd be in a bit of trouble, when it came to trust and reliability. Such is life, perception trumps truth. Good luck.
I wouldn't waste too much time worrying about your Alexa ranking. It's just a number that doesn't really offer a complete picture of your sites popularity. Try and spend your time more constructively like creating new content, adding backlinks, and increasing your positions in the SERPs.
The same with me, only '3 monts change' update that goes once a week, and 'one week average' usually updated daily stayed unchanged for about 3 days (even though '3 months change' was updated 2 days ago). I'm checking Alexa stats for only about last 2 and a half weeks and not sure if this happens from time to time. Strange thing with Alexa is since I downloaded their toolbar (2 and a half weeks ago), as a web-master I go through a lot of my web-pages sometimes with different IPs, plus all domestic visitors, domestic friends helping me with the forum, still the country I'm from is not on the 10 list of countries where my traffic comes from and I believe it constitutes around 50% of all visitors/traffic. So there are 33% visitors from USA, 16% Israel, 8% Greece, Slovakia... and nowhere country I'm from.
