It's quite simple...Although not really! Why are 99% of webmasters are doomed to fail is this = Most trade links, Most buy links, Most focus on Page rank most don't know shit about LSI and Co Occurance and this is why they will fail. Latent semantic Indexing and Co Occurance thrive on one another and with both together you will come out on top. LSI = The Latent Semantic Indexing information retrieval model builds upon the prior research in information retrieval and, using the singular value decomposition (SVD) [14] to reduce the dimensions of the term-document space, attempts to solve the synonomy and polysemy (Section 2.1) problems that plague automatic information retrieval systems. LSI explicitly represents terms and documents in a rich, high-dimensional space, allowing the underlying (``latent''), semantic relationships between terms and documents to be exploited during searching. In simple terms synonymous to pop culture keywords. Read more about LSI here Co Occurance = In simple terms Co occurance is words or phrases that appear together. The "Published" Google patents go into detail about what they are looking for, and statistics on co-occurrence patterns are used to relate clusters of terms/phrases into coherent "themes" and make predictions based on those statistics. So are you ready?
Sorry but it's truthful and honest just like I am...I am Trying to get people to realize that investing money on page rank, buying links and their time stuff I see all day long and I shake my head...sooner or later will all be worthless. I am an upfront guy with no fluff so if you can't take harshness than you shouldn't listen to a word I have to say! In the real world people call this "Tough Love" and I am sorry if I offend anyone none intended. huh?....... I have found out that people like the truth with no fluff...Would you rather me candy coat it? Oh and thank you for thinking my blog is interesting..I am just getting it started. Thanks
Yeh that's the problem now adays...but it will sooner or later have to be this way mostly on page optimization will determine your rankings to eliminate the link buyers, spammers and manipulators.
LSI and co-occurence is for the future. Link buying and trading is what seems to be working quite well now.
investing money on page rank is a losers game trading links or buying links are worth it if it brings you sales
Oh so just live for the now and not invest in the future..Thats a hell of a strategy. I agree if the links are actually related and have good traffic coming to them then why not use them for direct traffic sure...But for page rank and to manipulate, yeh its working fine now but.....
problem is that you cant play the link-buying game if you dont have a commerical website, or dont want adsense on it (yes, some people set up websites just for fun!).
I just checked your blog and everything there is a technique that has been used and written about across the web over and over. There is actually nothing there that's new. I don't know what you big sudden eureka moment about LSI etc. is, but its something we all keep in the back of our minds as we look to the future. However, you can't plan your business around hoping to hit a future target that isn't established yet. Sure, the future very well may require a firm grasp of LSI... but then again, there might be a different technology that we haven't even heard of yet that we will be dealing with rather than LSI. Thus, to focus entirely on what you predict will work in the future and ignore what is working today is a fool's mission. I'll take my money today by doing what's working today and adapt to changes as I sense they are occurring but not at the expense of being able to fully exploit what is working now. I'll also say this... if you are making six figures over five months like you say on your blog... then you haven't figured it out yet. For someone who claims to have the game all figured out, you aren't even scratching the surface.
What it takes to create a successfully trafficked website are the things you speak out against. Most webmasters know that to be successful you have to be flexible, and if that means playing the game now and adapting to changes in the future, so be it. Google set up this paradigm, and now they must live with it. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that you're probably OVERLY forward-thinking. Businesses (especially in the U.S.) demand results NOW, and they don't care a whit about your LSI and co-occurence sermon. It's unfortunate, but that's the way it is.
Oh well..HMMM so the patents Google filed and are implementing as of now mean nothing..And you know it might be too late to react when your whole business model gets swallowed because you bought too many links...Oh and 6 figures in 5 months that was the beginning bro' one site! As of now its more like 60 k a month and continuously growing and you? And you know as me not figuring it out its called the critical chain bub...finish one project at a time and grow as one project is finished after another. So when people say have a disaster plan in order..you'd say oh I'll worry about the smoke detectors and emergency exits when the fire comes... Well maybe but it's the now and the now is here...Not future, the patents have been filed and are implementing as of now...More and more phrase based, supp tag gone, excessive link building..speaking out more and more about buying links. So what is Google to do? Implement a technology that has already been filed to focus on onpage factors not the easily manipulated off page factors. Everyone you can do what you want its purely up to you! But I'm telling you the day will come when you see your site drop to the bottom then you'll come here asking why and yet no one will know why...Google -950 penalty, what happened, 60% loss of Google traffic and so on. Google wants relevance..Page relevance not manipulated link building. Yeh probably not....
Spot on! The whole point of LSI etc (as I understand it, which I probably don't) is to try and ensure that the site matches the search query entered and is a rewarding user experience. LSI is just a means of achieving that end. So if you are looking at long-term goals for your site, the goal should be user experience, not LSI, link-buying, PR buying, keyword research etc. Ultimately that will be the stategy that works best. You might need to wait a few years though.
LSI is all about the now and the future and It will help build a better user experience because the page will ultimately have to be more relevant.
There is a curious assumption here That Google will remain dominant next year, the year after, and after,,,,, ad infinitum Plus, what makes you think the techniques you refer to are not already being applied, along with the 100s of other factors applied in Google algo
