At first I think making money online is only about persistence. But do not forget in school 90% of the students do not take a A+, rather small amounts because they can't do it.

The internet is the same, same people are good, the rest are not so good.

Also, I think it's also about LUCK. If you have luck to find great informations and great people to work/outsource with, then you may have some chances to make money.

I think it's because a lot of them make those long pages with 10,000 words going down and all it does is repeat testimonials and shows amazing charts and results and everything and then they say "For a limited time you get a special offer of..."

I think all those pages look like scams,

    1. Because if everybody could do it poverty would cease to exist
    2. Because its more than just "build a site and get rich"
    3. Because that 97% of people that fail feed part of the 3% by buying all their 'get rich quick ebooks'
    4. Because those of us that are on top worked our ass off for years to get to where we are
    5. Related to #3, just because you read a sales page with pics of people making money doesn't mean its true
    6. Because rather than doing something new, most wannabes will just copy shit and call it their own (seriously, how many social networks and url shortening services does the web really need?)
    7. Because its easier to be a poser and act like you do it for a living and nobody can prove you are lying
    8. Because anybody can blow $10k on PPC, but only a few will turn that into $20k

Yes it is true that 97% of people fail in Internet Marketing.

The reason is that an Internet Business is the first time they will have worked for themselves. There is nothing wrong with this.

Many online believe that just having a PRODUCT means they are in business.

A product is not a business. There are many people with great products making no money.

A website is also not a business. There are millions of websites making nothing.

    So what is the answer?

    CUSTOMERS!

10 years ago there may be money in the front end. But not anymore!

Build your list first by offering something of great value for free.

Have a greater passion for giving (value) than for receiving (money)!

Persistance (Lack of) and Luck I would say, but ofcourse more persistance and just treat a business like a business if you are going to make money online

having a great information on your blog is actually sharing the idea.
the product you offer from clickbank and reviewing it for themselves is a way for providing them service.

its the people's will thats actually the reason why they fail.

I think a lot of it is because people who have no idea how to run an offline business think that all they need to do to be successful online is to have a website.
Then people will come to it, pay for something and overnight they will be a success.
Imagine hving a big department store with no customers - how long would that last?

A business will succeed if you know how to reach your target audience, know what they want to hear and see, and know what they want. You could have a rubbish product/service and still make it big time if people know about you. Same for these internet marketers, they could be great at what they do, but the one's who make it are the one's who know their market.
My business offers internet marketing as a service, but as it is not our main service we do not push it, but rather keep it as a secondary service for our existing clients.

You have put a very modest figure of 97% marketers... I was thinking about 99%...

Not all the Internet Marketers know the right technique, most of them just use hit and trial method, but fortunately for me, I am not a marketer and Not in those 99%

    :)

The problem is, it is not any one of those things being mentioned. We call it "cracking the code". Sometimes, you see something that looks successful, or in fact, is successful, and you think: "I can do that". Then you find out you can't. The reason is, things are complicated. They are not black or white, just shades of gray. Every business, every web business, that succeeds has it's own different mix of things they did that worked. Even successful websites that look the same, got there differently. Each successful website is as different from every other successful website as a human fingerprint. If you're smart, get good advice, keep trying things, eventually you will figure it out. Problem is, most folks fail, or give up, before they have figured it out. Does this answer frustrate you? That's because you want a cookie-cutter answer, and there isn't one.
