In my opinion it doesn't depends on how much You spend per day. It depends on the quality of Your ads. once it is good, it will "make the work".

I made 22K profit last month and about 37K this month. It varies, but typically results are nice.

I think the most i've spent in a month is around $15,000, but I try to avoid that as much as possible.

A good idea: if You are affiliate and selling the good of a sponsor ALWAYS make more than a few ad and ALWAYS sell from at least 3 sponsor. You just never know which on is gona die and than you woul dlose all Your hard earned money.

What kind of results should i expect?
what kind of budget should i look at initially?
i really want to try adwords but am shy of loosing my money?
in the past i have tried a few prgs but never made it even?
all the help will be appreciated.

    money train,

test, test, test. You should be able to achieve at least 1,5% conversion from adwords. I guess some people here get even 5%+ conversion.
Figure out your average sale and calculate your max CPC basing on that.
    Easy example:
If your average sale makes you $10 and your page converts at 1,5% that means that you will get 1,5 sales from each 100 visitors statistically.
That means that you can get max $30 per 100 visitors, which allows you to bid max $0.3 per click.
Anyway, my advice is to find $300-$500 for start with adwords. Without that you won't get proper volume to see how it works. If you are one-man band you can get some profits pretty easily. I found it much more difficult to make enough to feed some faces that I hire.

    You should reconsider your math.
