Hey, I've been promoting oDesk referral program for some time now, and it seems it takes ages for a referred provider or buyer to reach the $1,000 threshold to trigger the one time $50 they offer. For those of you promoting this program, how long does it takes roughly to reach that threshold on average? Thanks
I am promoting GAF Affiliate Program! I am also there on ODesk, but the conversions are higher with GAF (GetAFreelancer)
I do prefer GAF too for that matter, as they pay a percentage of the money earned, and not a one time price. My domain name is not catchy though, and I sure don't promote well enough. I'm actually toying with the idea of switching the two sites, which would be bad seo-wise. But you didn't reply the question: how long does it take for converted oDeskers to earn their $1,000?
My personal experience with oDesk is very bad. I have referred more than 100 persons so far. Some of them (personally known to me) already earned more than $1000 two months back. But oDesk never paid me. I have been running after oDesk support guys for last 45 days now to get an answer on this issue..they have been always assuring me. So I'm going to stop referring more people to their site very soon...just wanting to wait until this 20th.
I really made a lot of money when it comes to odesk referral. Generally I referred 1000+ people but like I said, once they earn $1000 and it will take also 30 days for review then that's the time they will give you $50 But right now their odesk referral is no longer available and they transfer it to commission junction which is great but commission junction is very strict when it comes to rules and regulation. I've just made $102.00 then after that they deactivate my account on commission junction. And I wonder why... They said that I made a post on other site which is not my own name even though I am the one who create that. Anyway, hope odesk company will take action about this. Commission Junction has lot of negative feedback even in forums. I've been doing this kind of a stuff almost a year but I was dismayed about commission junction that they were very selfish. If they found out that you earn money, they will terminate your account without saying any further details.By the way here's the screen shot of my Odesk referral.Don't get shock because I am a SEO linkbuilder specialist.
