Simple , it's called self motivation I think that every webmaster in the world got a dream to be like Nintendo or like Shoemoney or like Shawn ..
This thread is stupid. A lot of people make a lot of money because of their online business but not everyone wants to be a public figure like Shawn or Jeremey.
Sure, there may be representatives of Microsoft spying on these forums, but it is not going to be Gates himself.
I used to be rich. Drove a fast convertible and everything Then I got married. Then I had a kid. Now I drive a used malibu and clip coupons. Easy come ... easy go.
There are people making more than that with AdSense. Chances are some of them are in this forum. They're unlikely to advertise their wealth.
then kindly don't post in it. now, how much do you guys think these heavyweights make? I think most of us have seen the adsense check from shoemoney for $133,000 for 1 months work. Now lets make some assumptions. 1) we'll assume that was the highest check he had in the form of a check 2) assume that his monthly payments have increased since then with those 2 assumptions, let's just assume that it's $133,000 from adsense alone. Now there's also money made from affiliate programs, he outlined in a blog post where he made $144,000 one month as a ringtone affiliate. We'll now assume that that's an average month for shoester and add that to the mix. Now from what I've read that he's made public he makes a lot of money doing other stuff as well. And from everything I've read it seems to be AT LEAST as much as he does from adsense or ringtones. So we'll add in the average of ringtones and affiliates as $138,000 month. When you add all these figures together then shoemoney would be making a gross income of $4,980,000 a year. This is pure speculation, but I think my numbers are conservative and in reality he grosses more than that, but that's all speculation. I assume he makes more since he probably doesn't mention all of his sources of revenue, i mean he probably isn't JUST a ringtone affiliate, probably works in a lot of sectors, so who knows. Someone want to do an analysis on someone else. I don't know much about how Shawn or Nintendo make their money. I think shoemoney has made a lot of his info public, so he's easier to speculate on.
Theres a lot of assumptions being made here. Do you REALLY think the nett wealthy are going to throw their names out there ? The only time they broadcast, brag, publish such is when they need to perpetuate a pitch, myth, or representation in order to sell. Otherwise it simply wastes time and attracts unwanted attention. At the end of the day, anyone can say/publish anything they like. Whether or not its true is another matter. The question should probably be, who works for whom. Then, maybe, you'll arrive at some sort of likely answer. Damn I wish I had ass loads of money.. then I could pay someone to make these observations for me.. In fact, all this has just given me an idea.. Cheers, JL
why wouldn't they throw their names out there? Doing so helps buid their reputation and spreading lies and myths is not going to help that reputation. Usually those spewing useless lies are not going to get anywhere, webmasters aren't stupid. They can usually sniff out the frauds and the guys who are really legit.
Why do you think people want their names out there? Why do people need a reputation? The more people who know who you are and how you make money, the more competition you create in your market. This isnt applicable for everyone but it only takes one smart guy (or girl) to overtake you. Some people just dont find it necessary to share their income.
I vote for ShoeMoney. He makes a ton from AdSense but makes even more from affiliate programs and Azoogle.
True, a very rich person who use DP as a marketing tool won't tell anybody if he makes 10k a month , or 50k a month, because it will create problems whit their negociation skills
