I made the switch a few months ago. I'm enjoying it a lot. Right now I have Ubuntu (came preinstalled), but got to get up the nerve to install Slack or Arch someday
My dell using Vista, and another laptop been install Ubuntu last week. Still got no time to explore ubuntu. Anyone have experience with Ubuntu?
the Ubuntu forums are great...get an answer right away...for example, I was messing around and the next morning couldn't boot my computer and they helped me solve the problem in 30 minutes.
I got a extra machine for linux ^^one for mac one for windows and one for linux but I'm using it very often
I'm running BSD on my PC these days and only that. It's a little more of a pain than many Linux distros but the microkernel and memory paging makes it very stable, fast and allows a number of simultaneous processes to run quite quickly.
I run Ubuntu (server) and XP home, I have the two pcs networked. I use the linux box as a development machine for websites and mysql databases. I mainl,y use the XP box for playing games.
