Who's is better Microsoft or Linux?

I am looking for some suggestions which operating system is better for home & office users

Microsoft or Linux

If Linux is better & cheap to use which version is best to use for home & office users?

It depends on the user and what he/she wants to use it for. Although for me, Microsoft works well.

Microsoft is better than Linux.

 

Windows is a lot better for desktop, there's no doubt about it, but for servers, depending on your needs, usually linux is better, because of its simplicity/minimal needs. Same goes for super computers.

 

I think it is best to microsoft as easy to understand

 

People only need to use Windows for Windows games. Everything else runs on Linux or has an equivalent. But Windows is still more suitable for the amateur unless the system is set up for him ahead of time, in which case, the user will not notice much difference. Browsers are all the same and work the same as is email, word processors and so on. However, running things like Office must be set up in 'wine' or using LibreOffice or OpenOffice or even GoogleDocs. But most Linux systems are no more difficult to use than Windows once set up.

 

I am always and comfort to use Microsoft.. Coz it has become common Windows

 

Microsoft has already his base and their operating is more reliable and most importantly it's more user friendly than other operating system though on the other side Linux is much secure than Microsoft.

 

Microsoft works very well, however if you are willing to use all of Linux's programs it works well too. You can also compare. Download say Linux Ubuntu onto a computer with Microsoft. Run side by side. Then you can delete which ever you don't like.

Linux is free and microsoft, with all new OS and software will cost you several hundred. Your choice.

windows are generally for playing games. Linux more for programming, because many OS are based on linux ( Android) .

 

Linux is free because Microsoft has already covered all the market and only some people were using linux or other operating systems that's why they were offering free OS to get place in the market recently survey has declared that now people mind is turning to Linux and in other operating system also with the time being.

 

I use both.. windows for daily working, linux for my server.

 

I love to us Microsoft softwares cause they are user friendly.
