Hi, I received an email today from a guy named Marty White who calls himself the "Amazonian King." He's promoting a new ebook (the Amazonian King Super Affiliate Package) in which he claims to show people how to go about making money using the Amazon affiliate program. I'm quite tempted to buy as I have failed to make less than $20 using the Amazon affiliate program, so I thought I'd run it by all the gurus here. Has anyone ever heard of this guy and/or purchased his ebook? Thanks, Dude-Dastic
No, but i heard about it today as well and have been activley trying to find a good review of it. Haven't found one yet, so i'm guessing i should buy it and make one myself.
How much does it cost? Does it have a "refund your money" policy? I love asking for a refund when the ebook is garbage, and most of the "make money bla bla" really are.
Don't forget that Amazon pays 4-6% commission.. so to be a king you're going to have to shift an awful lot of product.
As of 4:45 pm CDT it costs $67 and customers can get a refund of their money if they are not satisfied. WillB, you're absolutely right. Amazon's affiliate payment plan is straight sucker-duck But then again, the commission rate is subject to rise to 8.5% depending on the amount of sales produced.
Amazon affiliate program is almost a joke - not just the commissions but the 24 hour cookie is horrible, they should really offer atleast a week. Not everyone buys on their first visit.
Yeah, their commissions suck but doing it in volume you make a killing. I bought the Marty White book Amazonian King and reviewed it. To check out the review, see my blog. He sure did volume but the book goes into where he gets his traffic from and how... Correctus I agree his Sales Page is crap, but his e-book and the techniques he uses to target Amazon sales is pretty clever
Yeah its a bit on the short side, but I like the ideas I learned from it. I think people should buy it if they want to increase their revenues from Amazon... I like doing that as it spreads my money around. I don't want all my money coming from one place...
i read your review. Basically...(not that i KNOW the book !) you say "niche marketing" (DUH !) and PPC (DOH !) ...and besides google, yahoo, altavista and maybe some other smaller directories...... i cant think of ANY "secret tips" the guy might have in his books. Is there more in that book than his tip "niche marketing is better" and "PPC is where the money is" and the standard "list your sites there and there" ? I just have a hard time believing he has the wonder-tips...not anything you can read on 5000 other ebooks already or read on forums. I might be wrong tho.
IMHO It is possible to earn much using Amazon affiliate , much more than using AdSense in some niches. Unique content helps. But I'm not sure will that book help...
Another alternative to Amazon is powells.com. They are an independent book distributor. Im not sure how their affiliate program works or if its comparible to Amazon or much better or what. Last time I checked, more than a year ago, their prices were comparable. good luck and happy new year all
It seems like an impossible task to sell that many products from Amazon and do that from Adwords seems even more impossible. I have to admit though that I am tempted to give it a try...
