The site is still in its infancy but in three months we've put up 1,300 articles, earned 50,000 pageviews this month, and get 2-3 pingbacks a day. The site has potential but I think with the right seo mix, it could really take off. Yes I know there are lots of ways to go about this and Im sure I could do this myself. But I've got the business to run and I need to focus on that. So I'd like to take some offers on some seo services. Our budget is low ($100 a month) but I think its a good starting point. So let me know what other info you need from me, feel free to post a question or pm me.

No Offence, but if you're gonna pay small bananas, your gonna get monkeys... be very careful who you hire, cause I suspect "you will get what you pay for" (which is next to nothing)

I hear ya on that one. If we had the budget for it, I would pay more. But maybe you know where I should focus on first - link building, title tags, etc. Any suggestions?

On page seo is the first thing you should optimize on a limited budget.

Yeah I don't really think you can get much for $100. Instead, seeing as you have a huge team, you can assign them each a small SEO task, like writing an article for guest posting, have another person do forum posts, have someone do twitter, facebook and such. And have your webmaster(s) learn about on-page SEO so that your website is optimized.

You're better off taking your team out to lunch once per month with that $100 than spending it on SEO. That is not even my hourly rate and anyone worth having work on your site is not going to work for less than half that per hour. 2 hrs per month will get you absolutely nowhere. Anyone else willing to work for $3-5/hr is simply going to suck that $100 out of your hand each month and give you nothing of value in return. They might "make changes" to your site or spam a few worthless NOFOLLOW blog comment links for you, but in the end... your rankings will see no noticable changes and more importantly... no changes to traffic.

Lunch once per month for others on your team will go MUCH, MUCH farther in getting you returns than anything you'll get from an SEO perspective for $100 per month.
